Allyn Cox
Allyn Cox ( 1896 – 1982 ) Peintre américain, artiste connu pour ses murales, entre autres, les fresques historiques du Capitol de Washington. Il est le fils du muraliste Kenyon Cox. Il commença ses études avec son père et poursuivit à l’Académie Nationale de Design et à L’art Student League de New York ( le logo du collège fût crée par son père Kenyon ) et il s’inscrit à l’Académie Américaine de Rome. Le travail le plus important qu’il fit avec son père, reste les murales du Capitol de l’État du Wisconsin, et comme son père, il fut président de la Société Nationale des peintres muraliste. On retrouve ses eouvres dans plusieurs musées du monde et aux États-Unis, dont le George Washington Masonic National Memorial à Alexandria en Virginie. Il peint aussi des murales dans les maison de Anne Vanderbilt (Mme William K ) et celle de Lincoln Ellsworth.
Allyn Cox (1896 - 1982) American painter, artist known for his murals, among other things, historical frescoes Capitol in Washington. He is the son of muralist Kenyon Cox. He began his studies with his father and went to the National Academy of Design and Art Students League of New York (the logo of the college was created by his father Kenyon) and he enrolled at the American Academy in Rome . The most important work he did with his father, was the mural of Capitol of the Wisconsin state, and like his father, he was president of the National Society of muralist painters. We can find his works in several museums in the world and the United States, including George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia. He also painted murals in the house of Anne Vanderbilt (Mrs. William K) and the Lincoln Ellsworth
