Robert Wakehan Pilot
Robert Wakehan Pilot ( 1888-1967 ) Né à St John-Terre-Neuve, il étudie la peinture avec Maurice Cullen, son beau-père et à l'Art Association de Montréal. En France, il fréquente l'académie Julian et séjourne en Bretagne avec Holgate. Il est associé au Groupe des Sept qui l'invite à participer à leur exposition inaugurale en 1920. À Montréal, il fait partie du groupe du Beaver Hall et devient membre du Canadian Group of Painters. Ses oeuvres font partie des collections des Musée des beaux-arts du Canada, de Montréal et de Québec. En outre, ses toiles sont exposées et vendues dans les galeries d'art les plus importantes du Canada.
Born with St John Newfoundland, he studies painting with Maurice Cullen, his father-in-law and with masters of the Art Association of Montreal. In France, he attends to Julian academy and remains in Brittany with Holgate. It is associated with the Group of the Seven which he was invited to take part in their inaugural exposure in 1920. In Montreal, he joint the group of Beaver Hall and becomes member of Canadian Group Painters. His works belong to the collections of the Museum of the fine arts of Canada, Montreal and Quebec city. Moreover, his masterpiece are exposed and sold in the most important galleries d' art in Canada.
