Giovanni Battista Pittoni

  (1687 -  1778 ) Ce tableau nous fût vendu comme un Tiepolo, mais en consultant M. Pedrocco le spécialiste des maîtres anciens Italiens, il nous confirma que cette oeuvre était de l'école de Giovanni Battista Pittoni, la plaque indicative sur l'encadrement y est restée malgré le changement de l'auteur de cette scène religieuse, mille fois reproduite.

This work was sold for a Tiepolo, contacting M. Pedrocco the expert for  Italians old masters, he brings us to think that the real author of the painting is closer to Pittoni than Tiepolo.The adoration of the magi, is a famous religious scene, depicting some thousands times by all the great masters of all time.
